How Did We Get Our Start?

Rasta Imposta began when an aspiring playwright with an entrepreneurial spirit moved to the Jersey Shore for the summer. In 1992, Robert Berman made wool dreadlocks, glued them into a baseball cap, wore it to a bar on Long Beach Island, NJ, and sold it off his head for 20 dollars and a beer. Thus, Rasta Imposta was born!
